MMC offers a complete lineup of North American base malts — including our flagship Craft Blend two-row, Pilsen, Pale Ale, Vienna, Munich, and Wheat Malt — alongside specialty malts such as Crystal, Dextrin, and roasted options. We also carry a dedicated Distiller's Malt for whiskey production and a selection of imported European malts, including French Pilsen from the Champagne region and a Mexico Malta 2-Row.

We source from the most fertile barley-growing regions in the U.S. and Canada — including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, plus the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta. We also partner with farmers in Mexico. Through exclusive Grain Origination partnerships, we work directly with growers in the field to secure a consistent, high-quality barley supply to our malting facilities.

Yes — Malteurop is the only commercial maltster with a proprietary barley breeding program, and among the first to use Doubled Haploid crossing. Our first North American variety, Expedition, has been used by craft industry leaders since its registration in 2015. New generations of unique varieties continue to follow from this one-of-a-kind program.

Our six-member Technical Services Team includes one of the few Diploma Master Maltsters in the world, a Ph.D. in Fermentation, and an M.Sc. in Cereal and Food Science — with a combined 107 years of Malteurop experience. Every batch is analyzed at our lab in Great Falls, MT, ensuring the malt you receive consistently matches the specifications you need, batch after batch.

Absolutely. Our Distiller's Malt is specifically engineered for North American whiskey production — high in enzymes and protein, it works with traditional corn or rye-based mash bills with ease. Beyond brewing and distilling, Malteurop also serves food producers who use malt in bakery products, cereals, and other food applications.
